IQBAL TERI KOM KA IQBAL KHO GAYA

Things are very much changed. There is alarming Situation for us. We are forgetting our founders. On this Iqbal Day there is no media coverage of Iqbal functions. Many people did not even know about Iqbal Day. In the past there were Official Holiday on Iqbal Day and many functions were planned. In schools on Iqbal Day there were competitions of Poetry and Kalam-e-Iqbal held. Allama Iqbal is the person who is not only the poet. He is true hero of sub-continent; he gave the view and idea of Pakistan. But what we are doing to him we didn’t even remember about Iqbal day. He woke up us from dead sleep.

Poetry of Iqbal is the Asset for us. He have to make it live. Those functions of Iqbal Day in institutions are very much Countable. Iqbal’s poetry has the great lessons which we have to learn until now. Iqbal is a Sufi saint also. His followers are all around the world. If now we are live in peace in our country Pakistan is just because of their efforts. We can only thanks them by celebrating their days and by making them live in our hearts.

کھو نہ جا اس سحر و شام میں اے صاحب ہوش
اک جہاں اور بھی ہے جس میں نہ فردا ہے نہ دوش

کس کو معلوم ہے ہنگامۂ فردا کا مقام
مسجد و مکتب و مے خانہ ہیں مدت سے خموش

میں نے پایا ہے اسے اشک سحرگاہی میں
جس در ناب سے خالی ہے صدف کی آغوش

نئی تہذیب تکلف کے سوا کچھ بھی نہیں
چہرہ روشن ہو تو کیا حاجت گلگونہ فروش

صاحب ساز کو لازم ہے کہ غافل نہ رہے
گاہے گاہے غلط آہنگ بھی ہوتا ہے سروش
